May 2009 Managed to finish three projects this month, in addition to an FGW Gronk, below.
"Royal" EWS Class 67, adapted from the Hornby model, with nameplates and Royal plaques from Shawplan and full bufferbeam detail fitted. I've also added an Express Models lighting kit.
The underframe was adapted by cutting apart the tanks/battery boxes and adding new compressors, see below, I think it makes a huge improvement to the model.
Again, from a Hornby model, a Class 60 this time, 60006 in Corus silver. Quite heavily weathered, as per the prototype in photos I've seen. I've added some blinds to the front window.
Finally a commissioned model, 57006 in Advenza colours, this time from a Bachmann model,
Had a rather dull April whilst progress continued on the layout and my modelling time was reduced due to working harder than normal! Managed to complete OOC's resident FGW shunter, 08839...ideal for shunting my Night Riviera stock!
